Her hands spun invisible threads
Of fables and stories from everyone
While making it real, it became surreal
And spun the threads to be a carpet of lore
That's the miracle of the wondrous storyteller

Although fictitious as the stories be
When one catches a glimpse of her piece
It was more than that
More than art
More than a form
It became a song
Sung from the depths of hearts, entwined
In tune with the song of the world

That's the miracle of the wondrous storyteller

Alas, the Mighty One say
A rest I shall give to her
And He kisses her forehead
And she slept

Though the wondrous storyteller has gone
With the stars at night she shone
And her web of stories
Will continue to be her immortal legacy

-dedicated to the late Yasmin Ahmad, the wondrous storyteller who gave us Sepet, Gubra, Mukshin and lots of those unforgettable adverts that brings us both laughter and tears. Forever she will be my inspiration.
